Farmhouse, now divided into 2 cottages. Possibly late medieval, altered late C16, and early-mid C20. Rendered over
rubble and cob, double Roman tiled roof, brick stacks gable ends, and rebuilt C20 stack to left of cross passage. Plan:
possibly single storey open hall enlarged and ceiled to 3-cell and cross passage. One and a half storeys, 3:1 bays, all
C20 wooden 3-light leaded casements rising from below eaves in upper storey, ground floor windows flanking inserted
secondary entrance left, plank door, another window right of studded plank door with moulded square headed surround,
both with flat roofed pentice porches on wrought iron brackets. Interior not seen. Said to contain timber framed wattle
and daub partition to right of cross passage, with later chamfered beams traversing cross passage and east end room
with chamfered wooden lintel to fireplace and walls rebuilt; deep chamfers to beams in hall, dog-leg stair with some
turned posts and some rectangular planks scratch moulded on room side, rectangular and circular plaster panels on
ceiling; scroll stops to beams in west end room. (VAG Report, unpublished SRO, January l984).
