Cottage. C17, possibly earlier, refenestrated late C18-early C19, altered mid C20.
Roughcast over red sandstone random rubble exposed left gable end, thatched roof,
brick stacks gable ends and to right of cross passage, full height brickbuttress
end bay right, raking buttresses right return gable end, flanking entrance and
end bay left. Plan: 3-cell and cross passage facing south, north-west wing.
One and a half storeys, 5 bays; eyebrow dormer right, eaves raised up over
4 central bays, first floor 2 and 3-light leaded iron casements, 2-light wooden
casement in third bay left, groundfloor 3-light wooden casement left of entrance,
C20 window right, 3-light leaded casement end bay right; half glazed C20 door
small stair light left gable end and blocked doorway. Interior not seen.
