Milepost. Circa 1840. Allen and Co of Taunton, iron founders. Cast iron. Triangular in plan, hollow in section, sloping top, plinth with name of iron founders set below ground level. Inscribed in raised lettering right "TAUNTON 9", left "HONITON 9 3/8".
