Screen and gates to former bowling green c1730. Rusticated
ashlar. Central moulded round headed archway, with fluted
keystone, springing from Doric capitals and flanked by
fluted pilasters on pedestals; round headed niches to left
and right and blind square panels above; outer pilasters
with banded rustication and full Doric entablature
surmounted by vase ornaments to left and right,and the
base of a central rnament. Contemporary wrought iron
gates incorporating initials of Peter Giffard.
