Description

BREWOOD C.P. CHILLINGTON PARK
SJ 80 NE

4/123 Sluice House on Canal

- II

Sluice house. Perhaps third quarter of C18, possibly part
of Capability Brown's layout. Brick with stone dressings;
roof removed. Gable end to north has modillioned open
pediment framing arched entrance now over C20 sluice gear.
The housing to rear has been altered. Included on account of
classical front to canal; probably once a boat house for the
start of the journey to the lake by canal.
