5/97 Entrance Gate Lodges to
- South of Park House.

GV II

Pair of matching Gate Lodges, circa 1860. Red brick with stone dressings and
flat roof, invisible behind crenellated parapet. Simple single cell and
storey square plan with buttresses to take gates. Stone mullioned two
light Tudor arched windows to South with original lead cames. Stone headed
Tudor arched openings to North with wrought iron mock portcullis. String
course belew crenellations with blank stone shields above. Wrought iron
gates of flowing pattern. A hatch at the base suggests former use as a
hen house.
