GV II

Farmhouse. Probably early C16 with C18 addition and later alterations.
Timber framed beneath imitation framing with brick addition; plain tile
roofs; sandstone and brick external lateral stack and brick integral end
stack. T-shaped plan; C16 wing aligned east-west with massive lateral
stack to the south and C18 range to the north aligned north-south.
C16 gabled wing to left of 2 storeys and attic, 2-storey C18 range to
right with first floor band. C16 Wing: Casements; ground floor
rendered, first floor has closely spaced studs and a roof truss with
V-struts above, the collar and 2 pairs of purlins. C18 range: 4
windows, casements with segmental heads, blocked window to first floor
left; 6-panelled door to left of centre with reeded pilasters. Moat
House stands within the remains of a moat.
