- garden railings and gate

GV II

Farmhouse, railings and gate. C18 with early C19 addition. Red
brick with orange brick addition; hipped plain tile roofs; brick
ridge stack and lateral external stacks. C18 range to south-west
aligned north-west/south-east, early C19 range to north-east aligned
north-west/south-east. North-east elevation: 2 storeys; 3 windows,
glazing bar sashes with wedge lintels grooved as voussoirs and fluted
keys, window to first floor right is blocked and painted in imitation
of glazing bars, upper part of ground floor window to right is blocked
indicating a change in floor levels, small 4-pane sashes with horns
flank a central 4-panelled door with panelled doorcase, rectangular
overlight and bracketed hood. South-east elevation: 2 storeys; 4
windows, glazing bar sashes with wedge lintels grooved as voussoirs,
and fluted keys, reduced proportions to first floor; central vertical
joint between the 2 building phases. Cast iron railings and gate
enclose the north-east side of the front garden.
