Listing Text

Wheatsheaf Inn
SJ 93 SE 12/16

Mainly early C19 but probably early C17 in origin. Engraved stucco with roughcast
to upper storey; 2 storeys plus attic; band at first floor; 3 sash windows,
the central blocked by inn sign; attic centre window with gable breaking above
eaves; wood doorcase with plain rectangular fanlight and 4-panelled door; C17
iron studded plank door on south side, probably moved from elsewhere. Interior
has exposed ceiling beams in bar and some C17 panelling.
