Canal bridge and lock. Circa 1770s with later alterations. Red brick and ashlar dressings. Single four-centred arch bridge with abutments sweeping round to each side; lock to the south-west of the bridge with wooden gates of circa 1980.
Keeper's Lock is one of a series of five on the Trent and Mersey Canal at its junction with the Coventry Canal. The Trent and Mersey Canal was completed in 1777; the surveyor-general was James Brindley. Both bridge and canal are included for group value.
