House. C16 with later alterations. Timber framed with brick infill
and some brick rebuilding; plain tile roof; brick ridge stack. T-
shaped plan, baffle-entry hall range aligned east-west facing south,
crosswing to the west aligned north-south. One storey and attic, framing
altered but probably square panels; 1:1 windows, C20 casements;
gabled crosswing to the left has been extended to the left and has 2
ground floor windows, and a C16 queen strut roof truss; C20
porch with glazed door in the angle between hall and crosswing. Right
hand (east) gable of hall range incorporates a cruck truss with a single
pair of purlins and a ridge piece. This house has been extensively re-
modelled and is included for the interest of its plan-form and cruck
construction. Interior not inspected.
