SK 1615-1715 ALREWAS C.P. PARK ROAD (North side)

9/55 No. 66 (Thatchover Cottage)
GV II

House. C17 with later alterations. Timber framed with brick infill
and some brick rebuilding and additions; thatched roof with scalloped
ridge; brick integral end stacks. Originally 2-framed bays aligned
north-south facing west, late C19 or early C20 extensions to the north
and east. One storey and attic, formerly 3 square panels to eaves and
straight braces; 2 ground floor casements with segmental heads, small
casement to ground floor right with straight head, 2 eyebrow dormers,
mainly early C20 windows with leaded lights; roughly central glazed
door with heavy wooden surround, blocked door to right. Slightly set-
back C19 extension to left, one storey, one bay. Interior: chamfered
and stopped ceiling beams, large open fireplace with heavy bresummer,
collar and tie beam roof truss.
