Canal milestone. Circa 1785. Stone. Triangular section inscribed
on two faces. Left hand face: "3½". Right hand face: "2". This
section of the Coventry Canal was completed by 1786, under the direction
of Thomas Dadford senior. Jean Lindsay, The Trent and Mersey Canal
