3/19 Seedy Mill

GV II


Corn mill and office. Early C19. Red brick; tiled roofs on canted
eaves courses (to mill). Mill to right is of two storeys and attic.
Ground floor has 3-light segmental-headed window to right and segmental-
headed door to left raised above ground level; part basement has window
to centre; mill wheel (now missing), undershot and housed in lower
addition to right. Much of the grinding machinery and shuting remains
to the ground and basement floors. Offices attached to left, lower
of two windows, segmental-headed to ground floor; entrance to left
of centre also with segmental head. Mid-C19 taller gabled addition
to left end. Forms part of an attractive mill group comprising mill,
farmhouse (q.v.) and cartshed (q.v.).
