Barn. Late C18. Red brick; tiled roof on corbelled eaves band.
East elevation has five tiers of small vents, some now blocked; threshing
entrance to right of centre with double boarded doors. Catslide additions
to left end with stable entered from south. South gable has entrance
to upper part reached by timber steps; further lower wing to west.
Interior: roof with shouldered king post and tie roof trusses. The
threshing floor is complete and includes a small grain store. Forms
part of a complete farm group built for the Swinfen estate. The barn
in particular is similar to that at Ingleyhill Farm (q.v.) on the
same estate.
