7/20 Hill Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C18, refenestrated early C19. Red brick; slate roof;
brick integral end stacks. L-shaped plan, main house aligned north-
south facing east, rear wing aligned east-west; formerly in a Gothic
style. 3 storeys with plain parapet. 3 bays defined by giant pilaster
strips, the outer ones are carried up higher than the parapets; 16-
pane glazing bar sashes with sill bands; canted bay window to ground
floor left with hipped roof. Central 6-panelled door and pointed overlight
within a pointed surround. Single-storey, 2-bay extension to the left,
mid to late C19; single-storey, single-bay extension to the right, probably
early C19. Small C18 ogee headed window to right-hand gable.
