6/2 Former Summerhouse

GV II

Summerhouse. Circa 1840 with later alterations. Red brick, with cast
iron frame to the south; corrugated asbestos roof. Aligned east-west
facing south with octagonal corner turrets. One storey; 12 bays of
cast iron panels with blind Tudor-arches and windows above; the 4 central
bays are flanked by a pair of cast iron octagonal columns with crenellated
caps. Door to the right. The summerhouse is built on the side of
a hill and the north side displays 4 four-centred basement arches each
giving access to a brick vault. In the east gable there is a circular
window.
