The description shall be amended to read:

Former Thompson's Brewery. Late C18 or early C19. Red brick with slate roofs. Ranges
of buildings around three sides of the cobbled brewery yard. Range extending from rear
of No 184. Left part: 5 windows with steps up to plank door on first floor. 2 doors
to left on ground floor; one in centre, all with cambered heads. Casements on first
floor under timber lintels. Brewhouse to right has double plank door to left. Central
first-floor door is flanked by one window on each side; 3 blocked windows on ground
floor. Ridge ventilator. Single-storey range at right angles has two cast iron multi-
pane casements and a C20 door to left. Carriage arch spans to return range on right.
2 windows on each of 2 floors flanking central door with internal steps. These buildings
retain their relatively unaltered appearance. They are included as the last of the
early merchant brewers' yards to have survived in the area.

Late C18 or early C19. Former brewery building in what was originally Thompson's
Brewery Yard. Red brick; 2 storeys; 4 casement windows; plain doorway to right
with flight of wood steps down to yard; plain segmental headed doorway to ground
storey; projecting eaves with boarded soffit; tiles. Slightly lower bay on
left-hand side with plain doorway and inserted sash window to ground storey.
Interior has no features of interest. Although nondescript, the building is
little altered and forms part of the last of the early merchant brewer's yards
to have survived in the area. It is included on this account.
