Road bridge over railway. Dated MR 1881. Cast iron bridge; brick flanking walls. 3
broad segmental arches flanked by one narrow one on each side. Spandrels have rosettes
and daggers; shield bearing 'MR 1881' above each arch. Panelled parapet with central
lamp. Wide bridge carried on 4 rows of 14 cast iron round columns; Each bay has an
intermediate rib. Ramp sweeps up on each side with brick arcade. The station above the
south-west side of the bridge is a C20 replacement, not of special architectural
