Shop with accommodation above. Probably C14, remodelled in late
C18 or early C19 and extended in C19. Painted brick. Plain tile
roof with gabled ends. Brick axial and gable end stacks.

L-plan with shop in left of front range and carriageway through
right and with C19 wing at rear of left end.

3 storeys. 3 window south front, first floor windows disposed
slightly to left; 12-pane sashes on first floor, 6-pane sashes on
second floor. Ground floor has Cl9 shop front to left and
carriageway to right, both with cornices on consoles and pilasters
and with 12-pane sash at centre. Short hipped roof wing at rear
with 12-pane sash and long C19 gable-ended wing on right, the 1-
storey north end with cast-iron window frames.

Interior: has medieval truss in left hand (west) gable (against
east truss of No. 186 (qv) ); crown-post with down braces
intersected by diagonal struts (in tie-beam-crown-post angle) to
rafters; the struts and braces at rear are missing; not smoke-
blackened.
