Five Steps (formerly listed
10/27 as The Steps (3 Cottages)


House. Early C17. Timber framed with brick infill panels; corrugated
asbestos roof covering thatch; brick ridge stack and integral end stack.
One storey and attic: 2 tiers of rectangular panels with straight braces
to original eaves level and abovethis a band of weather-boarding enclosing
the edge of the thatched roof. Irregular fenestration: 2 ground floor
windows including a C20 bow to the right; 2 attic windows including a
gabled dormer to the left. 2 doors approached by steps. Interior not
inspected but said to contain a timber framed smoke bay.
