GV II* (star)

Pair of gatepiers and gates, c.1700,moved to present site c.1870 for Hugo Francis
Meynell Ingram. Ashlar, 2 square gatepiers with bracketed pilasters, and a deeply
moulded entablature with pulvinated frieze. Each pier topped by a ball finial on
a raised square base. Between a pair of fine wrought iron gates, very elaborately
decorated, reputedly made by Robert Bakewell.
