GV II

Rectory now house. Mid-C18, remodelled mid-C19. Red brick with
ashlar plinth and dressings; clay tile roof; brick integral end
stacks and lateral external stack. Main range aligned north-south
and 2 parallel rear ranges aligned north-west/south-east . 2 storeys
and attic; 5 bays, C18 window openings with gauged heads and fluted
keys containing C19 paired glazing bar sashes, C19 ground floor
bay window to left of 10 lights with chamfered mullions and transom,
and hipped roof, replacing two C18 windows (remains of a gauged brick
head to the right); central C19 gabled porch with king post above
Tudor arch and decorative barge boards, C18 doorway with gauged head
and scrolled key, 2-leaf door and rectangular overlight; C19 attic
gable to right of centre and C19 chimney stack with diamond shape
shafts to left of centre starting at first floor level. Interior:
C18 panelled open well staircase with wreathed hand rail; C18 floor
to ceiling oak panelling; C18 doors; oak fireplace surround,
probably C17.
