Farmhouse. C17 with later alterations and additions. Timber
framed on sandstone plinth; plain tile roof; brick lateral stack.
Main range aligned east-west facing south with stair wing projecting
from centre of north front, east wing aligned north-south projecting
north. South front: Roughcast; 2 storeys; 3 bays, casements,
gabled wing to right; central 6-panelled door, the upper 2 panels
glazed, with pilastered doorcase and bracketed hood. North front:
2 storeys; roughly 3 bays, casements, projecting gabled wing to
left, catsliding to right to meet central gabled stair wing with
blocked stone mullioned cellar window, single-storey brick extension
with 2 windows in front of left hand wing; projecting brick stack
to right of centre. Framing: Closely spaced studs and square
panels, the latter are C20 work, left hand wing has V-struts above
the collar. East front: 2 storeys; 2 windows, casements, small
additional window to ground floor right. Framing: Closely spaced
studs, middle rail to first floor, short straight braces. Interior:
North bay of east wing has inglenook fireplace, ovolo-moulded central
post possibly replacing a partition wall.
