Farmhouse. Mid C17. Coursed and squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins
and dressings; clay tile roofs with coped verges; integral coursed rubble end
stacks. L-shaped plan; main range with rear wing; gable end entrance to hall;
separate access from hall to parlour which contains the central staircase, and
to a narrow pantry; rear wing contains kitchen and dairy. 2 storeys; 2 windows;
mullioned; that to ground floor right is of 3 lights, the others are of 2 lights;
ground floor window to left retains a C17 rebated surround and chamfered
mullion; the rest of the windows have plain mullions and are probably C18; casements
to rear wing; square headed doorway to North gable end with heavily weathered
ovolo moulded surround and a now indecipherable date carved on the lintel.
Interior: massive mantle beam to now dis-used inglenook or fire bay in hall;
straight staircase in parlour leading to first floor which retains 2 early
C19 fireplaces with foliage decorations; simple roof of purlins supported by
external and partition walls.
