GV II

Barn. C17 with late C19 alterations. Coursed dressed and squared stone;
tiled roof; verge parapets with pitched copings on corbelled kneelers.
2-level plan of hay loft over cow sheds. Long frontage to west of 7 hay
loft doors (widely-spaced to right-hand door) over; ground floor has
segmental-headed cart entry to left end and 5 doors, paired to centre
and with a top-hung casement window to the right of each (except between
the paired doors), one window now blocked. The south gable facing The
Ashes (q.v.) is of noticeably finer quality-finished stonework. Forms
part of a complete C17 group.
