GV II

Gates, piers and walls. Late C19, possibly with earlier fabric. Wall
in coursed stone approximately 1.5m high with deep pitched copings
swept in 2 concave curves to piers of square plan, approximately 2.5m
high and with ball finials on moulded surbase; ornate crested cast
iron gates. The ensemble gives a very impressive axial approach to
the entrance front of Sharpecliffe Hall (q,v.).Included for group
value.
