Large farmhouse. C17 with early C18 additions and alterations, also mid C19 alterations. Coursed dressed and squared stone of fine quality; tiled roof; verge parapets on corbelled kneelers with rounded moulding copings. Massive almost turret-like stack to ridge of main range, end stacks to C18 wing.

Complex plan; formerly T-shaped, now more L-shaped. Entrance front to north of two storeys and gable-lit attics in two parts; set-back C17 range to left of two flush gables; part strings to floor levels; circular owl holes to apices over scattered fenestration mainly labelled chamfered mullioned openings of two and three lights; large inserted C18 stair window to left side of right-hand gable: twelve lights, two mullions and three transomes, all chamfered, blind two-light cellar windows and cruciform window against return angle and over entrance; boarded door and two-light overlight. Widely-projecting C18 wing to right; raised bands at ceiling levels; three cruciform casement windows to first floor over three-light chamfered mullioned casements to outer ground floor; central entrance has voussoirs implied in lintel; boarded door. Garden front: remodelled in C18, also has three cruciform casements to first floor and two-storey three-sided stone mullions and transomed bay window to projecting right-hand gable. Similar details to other sides.

Interior: C18 dog-leg stair has open string and two-column balusters to each tread; early C18 oak panelling to hall at head of stairs, two panels carved in light relief with foliage; massive but unadorned fireplace to ground floor.
