Barn approx. 20m north-west of Gate Farmhouse

Barn. Late C17 or early C18 with late C19 alterations. Coursed dressed
and squared stone; tiled roof; verge parapets with pitched copings.
Two-level plan of hayloft over cattle sheds. Single hayloft door to
right end, two top-hung casements widely spaced to left and entrance
towards right-hand end. Further entrance with heavy lintel to left
end. The barn borders the entrance track to Gate Farm (q.v.) and
largely screens the house from the approach.
