10/278 Stable at Whiston

Stable block. Late C18 or early C19. Coursed dressed squared stone;
hipped tiled roof to single-storey range and verge parapets to gabled
2-storey part. Long, approximately 50m, single-storey range almost
blind to lane (north) side with 2 doors to left of centre; slight
break to centre with gabled 2-storey projection; miniature pitching
eye or owl hole over segmental-arch carriage entry. Access to yard
side not possible at time of resurvey (April 1985).
