Wall. Early C19. Ashlar with edged herringbone tooling. The wall
is attached to the east side of the gatehouse to Alton Towers (q.v.)
and encloses a roughly square garden surrounding The Birdcage (q.v.).
Crenellated parapet. This item forms part of the important garden layout
at Alton Towers (q.v.) which is included at Grade I on the HBMC Gardens
Register.
