Milepost. Dated 1834. Cast iron. Cylindrical with enlarged headbearing 2 inscribed panels. Left hand panel: "LEEK / 9 / MILES".
Right hand panel: "ASHB N / 6 / MILES". Shaft inscribed "..../ 145 / MILES". Head inscribed "JAMES BASSET ASHBOURNE 1834".
