3/41 Overton Hall
Farmhouse. Late C17 with early C19 additions and C20 alterations.
Coursed sandstone; stone slate roof; verge parapets on shaped kneelers;
gable end stacks. Late 'T'-plan of hall and parlour cross wing with C19
extension to lower end. Entrance front in 2 parts: 2 storeys and attic
C17 house to left, with projecting gable to left 2:2 windows; C20 case-
ments (one blocked window to attic) in chamfered surrounds formerly
mullioned; string at first floor level; boarded door against cross
wing. Lower, but flush, early C19 wing to right of 2 windows; round-
arch stair window with block transom to left, 3-light block mullioned
casement to first floor right and offset to centre below a C20 casement;
massive double flue stack behind ridge at junction of 2 parts.
