Heatonlow Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Dated 1651, largely rebuilt mid-C19. Coursed stone; tiled
roof; verge parapets on shaped corbelled kneelers; end and centre
ridge stacks. Lobby-entry plan. 2-storey, 4-window front; C20 3-
light casements; decorative central porch with Tudor-arch doorway
flanked by engaged Doric columns standing on plinths with diamond
panels; parapetted gable, with obelisk finials to either side and
to apex, framing tympanum with low-relief ornament; panelled spandrels,
studded door; datestone to left-hand end, possibly re-set, inscribed
"WN 1651".
