Farmhouse. Dated 1634, minor later additions. Ashlar; stone slate
roofs; verge parapets and shaped finials; stone side stacks battered
at eaves level and gabletted at ridge level. Flat 'H'-plan. 2 storeys
on plinth and with attic. Front of 2 projecting gables flanking centre
recess; 3 ranges of labelled 5-light ovolo mullion and transom windows;
gabled attic windows stepped up in reduced tiers of 1:3:5 lights with
2 transoms and stepped label; original lattice casements to first floor;
centre range offset to left on ground floor to accommodate flat-roofed,
single-storey porch attached flush to right gable, pilasters with moulded
capitals supporting frieze stepped up to centre and labelled over inset
plaque inscribed TH ; projecting coping over with finial
against right 1634 side wall; early 6-panel C19 front door.
Interior: hall with ovolo ceiling spine beam, dais end panelling fixed
at north end (formerly with bench below) with door to C20 stairs to
right.
