TL 76 SW GAZELEY THE STREET

Farmhouse. Early C19, with mid C16 wing to rear. 2 storeys, 3
windows. Red brick with parapet to main part of frontage.
Concrete plaintiled roof with gable and axial chimneys of red
brick. Sash windows with flat arches of gauged brick and small l
pane sashes. Early C19 entrance doorway with panelled pilasters,
cornice and oblong fanlight with glazing bars; C20 panelled door.
The 2-cell C16 rear wing is timber-framed and rendered, with C20
casements; it extended further rearwards until C20. Good close-
studding and evidence for unglazed windows. Substantial clasped-
purlin roof. Attic floor inserted C17. Early C19 2-storey
extension to north of rear wing.
