Bridge, 40 metres west of Primary School, Brookside

(Formerly listed as Bridge opposite School)

Bridge over the River Kennett. Late medieval. Single span of 5
metres. Mainly flint rubble, with quoins of gault and red brick
of various periods. A segmental arch of limestone, chamfered,
with a relieving arch of narrow pink bricks alternating with
flint rubble. Parapets of flint rubble, weathered with tarred
mortar capping; the path between about 1.20m wide, splayed out at
the approach at either end.
