Shop, with bakery to rear, and dwelling above. Early C16 with alterations of
C18 and late C19. 3-cell cross-passage entrance plan. 2-storeys. Timber-
framed, encased at front in C19 painted brick. Concrete plaintiled roof with
gable chimney of gault brick. Late C19 splayed bays with sash windows, and a
good shop-front, splayed, with slender iron columns and tracery, moulded fascia
and recessed half-glazed panelled door. A single-cell C18 wing to rear with
plaintiled roof, and a further 1½ storey extension of C19. A C16 bridging
joist in the hall has complex rib and hollow - chamfer mouldings; evidence for
very-close studding.
