Restaurant, formerly house, late C16, the attics inserted and other alterations
made C18. 3-cell lobby-entrance plan. 2 storeys and attics. Timber-framed and
rendered in rough-cast panels at upper floor, the lower floor underbuilt C18 in
gault brick, painted C20. Plaintiled roof with C18 axial chimneys of gault
brick and crested ridge tiles. C19 casements, those at ground floor having
hoodmoulds. Early C19 entrance doorway with moulded architrave and enriched
broken pediment on console brackets. 4-panelled door, the upper panels glazed.
Good clasped purlin roof.
