House, C17 with large extension of early C19. Originally 2-cell lobby-entrance
plan. 2 storeys. Timber-framed and rendered. Plaintiled roof with axial C17
chimney of gault brick; 3 diagonally-set square flues on a plinth with moulded
cornice. C19 small-pane sash windows to ground floor; 3-light casements at
upper floor. Blocked entrance doorway with semi-circular head. In a rear
staircase wing is a late C17 staircase with sunk panelled newels, fretted
splat-balusters and matching dado. A wing was added at right-angles to left in
early C19; timber-framed and rendered, hipped slated roof with rear chimneys of
gault brick. C19 French casements with louvred shutters.
