Public House, C15, with alterations of several periods. Central open hall (now
one storey with attics) and 2 crosswings (2 storeys). Timber-framed and
rendered, partly underbuilt in painted brick. Pantiled roofs with massive C16
or C17 axial chimney of red brick in-hall range. Mainly C19 sash windows and
casements (boarded up). C19 6-panelled entrance door. Plain crown-post roofs
to both crosswings; probable coupled-rafter roof to hall. The building was
vacant and in poor condition at time of survey.
