TL 67 NE MILDENHALL PAMMENTS LANE, WEST ROW

House, C16 with alterations of C19. 2 storeys. Timber-framed and rendered,
the front wall jettied at 1st floor level. The left hand end is of painted
brick, with crow-stepped parapet gable, and corbelling in moulded brickwork at
1st floor level to follow the profile of the jetty. Plaintiled roof with end
chimneys of red brick, that to left having two diagonally-set square flues.
Mainly C18 and C19 3-light casements. Gabled plaintiled 1-storey entrance
porch with C20 entrance door. The gabled staircase wing at rear contains
fragments of the original staircase including an octagonal newel post with
moulded cap; the stairs were rebuilt C18 or early C19. A substantial house,
formerly of 3 cells; the right-hand service cell is believed to have been
demolished C19 after a fire.
