Probably C16 but much altered C17/C18, 2 storey, timber-framed and
plastered, roofs tiled. Cross wings east and west with upper storeys
projecting on front and the gables are hipped back. At west end is an
addition with hipped roof, timber-framing exposed and C18/C19 verandah
on return west. On the front the timber-framing is exposed, there is an
C18 moulded wood cornice with ogee modillions, returned round the cross
wings, 4 window range, flush frame sash, with glazing bars, 2 ground
floor bays to cross wings. Some original window openings, upper storey,
west cross wing. A good house. NMR photos.
