A timber-framed and plastered building probably of C17 origin altered
in the C10 and C19. Built on an L-shaped plan with wings extending to
the north-east and south-east. On the site of an earlier building and
partly moated. Roof tiled. Two storeys and attics. The south-east
wing has a jettied upper storey at the south-east end. 1:3 window range
of double-hung sashes with glazing bars. Two external chimney stacks
(one at the south-west is rebuilt with old brick). Early C19 cut and
shaped bargeboards.
