Includes No 73 Water Street. A C15-C16 timber-framed and plastered building
refronted in the early C18. A wing extends to the east on Water Street
(No 73). Roof tiled, hipped. The timber-framing is exposed on the south
side and on the upper storey of the north side. Two storeys. Three
window range on the front. Casement windows, 2 on the upper storey
are old leaded casements. The ground storey has a small shop bay and
2 small modern bays. The north front, on Water Street, has 2 window
range of casements (one is an old leaded casement) and there are some
blocked original windows. The ground storey windows have panelled shutters.
Two ridge chimney stacks (one with attached shafts). No 3 has an C18
fireplace and small cupboard.
