No 70 has a panel inscribed Willm. W. Roper 1885 (he also built the horse
hair factory in Water Street). A red brick building with a tiled roof.
Two storeys. Two window range of double-hung sashes with glazing bars,
in flush cased frames. The north part sets back slightly and has a C19
shop window with glazing bars. The north gable end has one window range.
Ridge chimney stack. Included for the group value of the range, Nos
70 to 80 (consec).
