A C15-C16 timber-framed and plastered building with a tiled roof and
a large internal chimney stack on the west side, originally with 4 octagonal
shafts but now only 2 with moulded bases. Restored and renovated. The
timber-framing is exposed on the upper storey. Two storeys. Three window
range of C19 double-hung sashes. The ground storey has a former shop
front with a window inserted in old style. At the south end a former
cart entrance has had a door and window inserted in mediaeval style.
On the upper storey at the north end there is an original blocked window
and restored high level windows. The doorway is approached by a flight
of steps from the pavement with iron handrails. The interior has fine
carved beams.
