Nos 6 and 7
TL 9149 50/601 23.1.79
A timber-framed and plastered building probably of C16-C17 origin but
altered in the C18 amd later. Two storeys and attics. Originally the
upper storey was jettied but only a fragment of it remains. Two window
range of casements. The ground storey has a small C18 former shop bow
window with glazing bars. The roof is tiled, with 2 original hipped
dormers. At the south-west end there is a 2-storeyed addition with a
tiled roof of lower eaves level and casement windows. A further 2 storeyed
wing extends to the south-west in Market Lane with a tiled roof at a
yet lower eaves level and 3 casement windows.
