A large C15 timber-framed and plastered building with cross wings at
the east and west ends and an extension to the east and west ends and
an extension to the east of the east cross wing. Roof tiled. Two storeys.
The west cross wing has a jettied upper storey. The centre part (No
8) was at one time a forge and blacksmiths shop and now has a small C19
shop window. The windows are mainly casements with one double-hung sash
with glazing bars on the ground storey of the west cross wing. The interior
has original features.
