House. Mid-late C18, remodelled and extended mid C19. Painted brick, hipped slated
roof. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay facade. Inset sash windows of 16 panes, with a
narrower 12-paned sash over the doorway; stone slab lintels. Doorway has cased
architrave, 3-light overlight, flat hood on shaped brackets; 3/4-glazed entrance
door. 3 curved steps up to doorway with flanking wrought iron handrails. A square
red brick chimney stack in each hip end. To left hand return is a later C19
conservatory with swept leaded roof. Interior. Some good mid-late C18 work
including: open well stair with Chinese latticework balustrading; doorways with
broad architrave, the over doors are C20. 2-panel doors with H-L hinges; a ground
floor fireplace with eared surround. Plaster cornices to 2 ground floor rooms and
stairwell are C20. Rear right hand room has chamfered axial beam with runout stop
(probably re-used).
